Dr. John Waits is a highly respected, board-certified Family Medicine and Obstetrician practitioner who currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Cahaba Medical Care. In addition to his role as CEO, Dr. Waits is the Program Director and Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the Cahaba Family Medicine Residency.
As an accomplished professional, Dr. Waits holds the position of associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Community Health Sciences, University of Alabama School of Medicine in Tuscaloosa.
Dr. Waits brings a wealth of experience to his current roles. He previously served as the Program Director of the Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for five years. During this time, he demonstrated leadership and commitment to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
With a dedication to excellence in patient care and medical education, Dr. Waits continues to make significant contributions to the field of Family Medicine and Obstetrics. His role as a faculty physician ensures that he remains actively involved in clinical practice while imparting his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of healthcare providers.
